The Solitudes of the Ego

The collection is an immersion into the deepest intimacy, an introspective journey that fragments and recomposes the emotional states arising from self-examination. Slender, bare figures populate this inner universe. Hollow, deliberately bulky, forms manifest their fragility. Human interaction is the catalyst that brings them to life. The repetitive process of adding and subtracting metal is central to the meaning of the work. A constant interplay between tangible form and mental perception is at play.

The 'drops', usually discarded as insignificant, are transformed through aggregation into a cohesive entity enveloping the figures. Merging into a unified whole. , demonstrating that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. This fusion of diverse elements seeks to create a visually striking experience that mirrors the cyclical nature of introspection itself, where emotions appear and vanish, and patterns of thought continuously emerge and dissolve.

The insatiable hunger for meaning, knowledge, and experience is the abyss within us. This void, though daunting, is the fertile ground from which creation springs. By cultivating awareness of this emptiness, we can transform it into a wellspring of inspiration.

A magnetic light bulb, free to roam the contours of the stomach, offers a customizable illumination, casting its glow at different intensities and angles.
